A month later, while reviewing the personal effects transferred from the family vault at Sinclair Manor, Arthur discovered a locked cedarwood case belonging to Julian Sinclair. Inside was a leather-bound journal dating back to the final months before his tragic passing in an overseas aviation accident.
Katherine sat by the window in the quiet library of the cottage, turning the yellowed pages with reverent hands.
